ABOUT FRANK

My name is Frank Shaver-Burgess, and my pronouns are he/him/his. I am a gay man living in Orange County, California, with my husband, Connor, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Charlie, and our Cockatzu (Cocker Spaniel + Shih Tzu mix) named Cooper.

I am originally from Arizona and moved to Orange County in 2010. With a background in hospitality and customer service, I have worked for some well-known companies and brands that have shaped how I view customer service, attention to detail, and the overall guest experience. I hold a bachelors in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University and a Master's in Leadership Development from Chapman University.

I got into the wedding industry in 2021 thanks to a homework assignment (ask me to share that story when we meet) for grad school. That project led me to create an online wedding directory, @LGBTQWeddingsOC, on Instagram in 2021 and become a board member with the National Gay Wedding Association from 2021-2022.

We at Events by Frank acknowledge that the land we gather and celebrate on is the home and traditional land belonging to the Acjachemen and Tongva peoples'. Today and every day, we come with respect and gratitude for the Acjachemen and Tongva people, who still regard themselves as the caretakers of this land. We consider ourselves grateful for being able to live and work on these homelands while honoring the past, present, and future individuals who steward this land.
