Top 5 Spots to Propose in Orange County, California

Did you know that the holiday season not only brings gifts and time with family but engagements galore? That’s right! The holiday season is the busiest time of year for couples getting engaged to be married. With that being said, YOU might be planning to pop the big question! If you still need some ideas, here are my top 5 locations in Orange County, California to ask your sweetheart to marry you.

Disneyland

If you live in Orange County you’ve got a magical spot in your own backyard to pop the question. The Disneyland Resort offers a variety of backdrops for the perfect photo opportunity as you propose. Grab some themed ears and Happily Ever After buttons and have them on standby once your partner says yes. To make it even more special, find a photographer roaming around for a couple of pro photos.

Crystal Cove State Park

Crystal Cove in Newport Beach is one of my personal favorite spots in all of Orange County! A perfectly timed sunset will make you look like a total rockstar when planning your proposal. Whether you like the sand or not, Crystal Cove offers spots where you don’t ever have to get in the sand and of course direct beach access if you want to be closer to the water. No matter what you choose, the setting is simply perfection.

Irvine Regional Park

How about a romantic picnic? Irvine Regional Park is perfect because once you are in the park, it almost feels like you’ve left the outside world for a more calm and serene vibe. Plenty of space to walk around and take photos after. This park is also great if you want family and friends to join you after. There are a multitude of areas in the park they can hide at while being close enough to take photos, videos, and then run out to celebrate the newly engaged couple.

Dana Point

Dana Point is going to give you a very similar vibe that Crystal Cove offers. Except you can get more of a birds eye view of the water and glorious cliff backdrops. You are sure to find several hidden gems that could work for your proposal. This is just one of those locations where you can’t go wrong.

At Home

Many of us will be home for the holidays. Whether it's just the two of you or you are surrounded by family, don’t discount proposing in the comfort of your own home. Our homes are where we make the most memories. And keeping it simple will not only keep things less stressful for you but probably make it more enjoyable and memorable in the long run. If you are going to be with family, include them in the fun! You’d be surprised how into it they will get and will be more than happy to take some of the smaller tasks off your plate.

BONUS Location

Temecula Wine Country

Think you might want to wander out of Orange County? Temecula wine country is a wonderful option. With nearly 50 wineries in Temecula, you are sure to find one that meets your aesthetic and wine preferences. Plus the vineyards just make a stunning backdrop!
